Volunteer Information
School volunteers are important people in our school! School volunteers provide valuable supplemental support to teachers and students and provide vital human resources to enrich the educational experience. We are so grateful for all of our volunteers!
If you are interested in volunteering in the Mequon-Thiensville School District, please begin the process by connecting with the school or schools in which you are most interested in spending your time. The school will be able to identify a best fit for your interests and existing opportunities.
Keeping our students, faculty and staff safe is a top priority. To help ensure safety, we have developed guidelines for visitors or volunteers. In keeping with federal privacy guidelines, no photographs may be taken by volunteers or visitors during the school day.
In addition, background screens for volunteers are necessary. We have contracted with an online provider to facilitate quality background checks for our potential volunteers.
To keep our students and staff safe, our district uses Visitor Aware—a smart management system that screens visitors in real time while speeding up the front-office sign-in process. Through Visitor Aware, we can verify all guests to prevent unauthorized entry, print visitor/volunteer badges immediately upon check-in, and sync directly with student data in Infinite Campus for seamless record-keeping.
Visiting or volunteering this school year? Pre-register on your phone or computer before you arrive to skip the line.
- If You Pre-Register: Leave your ID in the car! Just snap a quick photo at the building kiosk and you’re set.
- If You Don't Pre-Register: You must bring your physical Driver's License or State ID to the front office to be manually scanned.
