Long-Range Facilities Master Planning
Long-Range Facilities Master Planning
As part of our commitment to educational excellence and fiscal responsibility, MTSD is embarking on a comprehensive planning initiative to establish a forward-looking 10-year roadmap for our District.
This process aligns our physical learning environments with our academic vision, building maintenance needs, enrollment projections, operational considerations, and financial realities.
Why We Are Engaging in This Process
While recent modernization efforts have significantly improved our schools, MTSD must proactively plan for key long-term priorities across our seven facilities to ensure sustainability and excellence over the next decade:
-
Educational Vision & Capacity Needs: Evaluating spatial capacity across our schools, informed by an updated enrollment and demographic study.
-
Capital Infrastructure Maintenance: Establishing an itemized 10-year maintenance plan for critical building systems, structural envelopes, roofing, and safety/security infrastructure.
-
Financial Resilience: Developing dual financial scenarios to maintain long-term fiscal stability under changing budget and funding baselines.
-
Athletic Facilities Integration: Incorporating high school outdoor athletic facility planning into broader district infrastructure priorities.
Plan Timeline & Next Steps
Following a competitive RFP process and finalist interviews, District leadership selected Eppstein Uhen Architects as its planning partner. Community input is essential in shaping the final plan, and we look forward to inviting staff, parents, and residents to join in stakeholder engagement opportunities hosted by the District and EUA in the coming months.
